Guidewire Manager / Java / Bedford Park / Modern Software Practices

An insurance software-as-a-service is hiring for a Manager of Guidewire to join the team in Bedford Park, Illinois. The company brought in a new Director of Enterprise architecture about 8 months ago to help drive their digital modernization. After growing out the teams, they want to bring in a Manager to help continue that path to modernization and software development best practices.

They are looking for either an experienced People Manager or a Senior Developer that’s interested in taking the next step as a Manager. They’re looking for an excellent communicator that has deep Java and Insurance experience, ideally with Guidewire.

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another related field
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience in Java
• 5+ years of Professional experience building Insurance Software
• Experience leading Java teams
• Strong communicator and problem solver

Desired Skills & Experience

• People management experience
• Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or Socotra experience
• Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance experience
