A top-tier defense technology integrator is seeking a Network Engineering SME to architect and secure enterprise- and tactical-grade networks for a next-gen airborne communications program. This full-time, high-impact role will lead the design, validation, and deployment of multi-domain, secure networking solutions across SATCOM, software-defined radios, and software-defined networking (SDN). Active TS/SCI clearance required.
In this role, you’ll shape the architecture behind a major digital infrastructure initiative spanning 2025–2027. You’ll be hands-on in lab integration, SD-WAN setup, cross-domain security design, and DevSecOps pipeline alignment—building the critical backbone that connects airborne platforms to the DAF BATTLE NETWORK.
Required Skills & Experience

U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred)
-
20+ years of experience designing, integrating, and securing DoD or IC mission-critical IP networks
-
Deep expertise in routing/switching (Layer 2/3), SATCOM, RF/mesh networking, and tactical transport enclaves
-
Proficient in BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, IPSec, QoS, and NSA-compliant data flow/ruleset management
-
Experience with cross-domain solutions, Type-1 crypto, and multi-level security architectures

Hands-on with network test tools (IXIA, Spirent) and automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
-
Familiarity with NSA and DISA STIG requirements and RMF/eMASS documentation processes
Desired Skills & Experience

Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent expert-level credential

Background in CJADC2, ABMS, OMS/UCI, or tactical comms (Link-16/22, TTNT)

Knowledge of containerized networking (e.g., CNI, Service Mesh) and classified DevSecOps (e.g., Platform One, Iron Bank)

Experience managing RMF packages through eMASS to full ATO

Agile/Scrum or SAFe certification
