We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at a leading medical device company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that ensure the precision and reliability of our medical devices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust control strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure that our devices meet rigorous industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  •  Proven experience (5+ years) in designing and implementing control systems for medical devices or similar high-precision applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to control systems (e.g., C, C++, Python).
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of control system principles, including PID control, state machines, and realtime systems.
  • Experience with control system development tools and platforms (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW).
  •  Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for medical devices, including hardware and software components.
  • Develop and refine control algorithms to ensure device accuracy, performance, and safety.
  • Work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product development teams to integrate control systems into new and existing devices.
  •  Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control systems to ensure compliance with medical device regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and ensure timely resolution
  • Document control system designs, processes, and procedures, including detailed specifications and user manuals.
  •  Collaborate with regulatory and quality assurance teams to ensure that control systems meet all necessary regulatory and quality standards.
  •  Support the implementation of control system changes and updates, including modifications and improvements based on feedback and performance data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements related to control systems and medical device development
