Senior Electrical Design Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will design systems that can sample, filter, and transform large amounts of high-speed data to drive robotics and industrial automation products. This candidate is also able to design core electrical systems including power distribution systems, control boxes, cable harnesses, and electrical enclosures. 

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years applicable professional experience in the robotics or automation industry.

• Ability to specify and design data acquisition systems for acquiring, processing and logging high-speed sensor data and signals.

• Expertise specifying and designing efficient power distribution systems for a wide range of hardware.

• Ability to design electrical control boxes for motion control applications.

• Ability to design cable harnesses and enclosures, including thermal analysis.

• Familiarity with various sensor technologies, data acquisition hardware, and software including load cells, accelerometers, vision systems, and other industrial sensor technologies.

• Proficient in design and compliance with relevant industrial standards.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong documentation skills for processes and findings.

• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stake- holders.
