Position Overview: We're looking for a skilled CFD Application Engineer with hands-on experience in external flow simulations, particularly in the automotive sector. As part of our team, you'll utilize tools like Star CCM+, ANSA, ANSYS Fluent, Pointwise, ParaView, and Tecplot to deliver tailored CFD solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges in fluid dynamics simulations. Provide expert guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  2. CFD Modeling: Develop and execute advanced CFD models for external flow applications, focusing on automotive aerodynamics and thermal management.

  3. Solution Design: Design and implement customized CFD solutions to address client objectives, optimizing fluid flow performance and product designs.

  4. Technical Support: Serve as a go-to resource for CFD software applications, offering troubleshooting assistance and resolving complex issues.

  5. Training: Conduct training sessions to educate clients and internal teams on CFD simulation techniques and software usage.

  6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in CFD technology and industry trends to enhance workflows and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in external flow CFD simulations, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in CFD software tools like Star CCM+, ANSA, ANSYS Fluent, Pointwise, ParaView, and Tecplot.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Boston area.
