Senior Mechanical Engineer - AUV

Our clients are in the field of underwater robotics, and dedicated to advancing the frontiers of marine exploration and technology. Based in Boston, they specialize in designing and developing state-of-the-art autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) that enable groundbreaking research and operational capabilities beneath the waves. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for their autonomous underwater vehicles.

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably with a focus on robotics or underwater systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or CATIA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other engineering tools.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and engineering mechanics, particularly in the context of underwater applications.
• Experience with mechanical testing and validation techniques, including environmental and fatigue testing.
