Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative biotechnology research team in Boston. They're specializing in providing tools and technologies to improve pre-analytical sample preparation, enable novel drug formulations, and manage compounds in the drug discovery process.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for cutting-edge biotech applications. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects aimed at advancing healthcare and life sciences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in a biotechnology, medical device, or related industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) for mechanical testing and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, FDA) is a plus.
