Cyber Security Engineer / First security hire

A growing investment and equity company is looking for their first Cyber Security Engineer. Their IT teams handle a little bit of security, but now they're ready to bring on a dedicated security engineer. You'll act as an individual contributor, working with cross functional teams, and be responsible for everything from network security, information security, security operations, SIEM, vulnerability management, and more.

Ideal candidates have worn multiple hats in their career and have worked in a Blue Team environment as an early hire. Tools include Zscaler, Crowdstrike, EntraID, Palo Alto.

This role is 4-5 days on-site in Boston, in the Back Bay area, and comes with excellent benefits! Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security
• Deep understanding of general Blue Team requirements such as SIEM, SOC, networking security, vulnerability management, etc.
• Experience with Crowdstrike, Zscaler and Palo Alto
• Experience with IAM
• Experience with frameworks specific to financial spaces or experience working in highly regulated industries
• Strong communication skills and experience working with C-suite executives
