Our multidisciplinary team of experts collaborates with clients to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet stringent regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes. We specialize in the design, development, and validation of medical devices, with a strong focus on embedded systems and firmware engineering.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Embedded and Firmware Engineering to lead our engineering team in delivering world-class embedded software and firmware solutions for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of medical device regulations, a proven track record in managing complex projects, and a passion for innovation in healthcare technology.
Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded systems and firmware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Extensive experience in the medical device industry, with a deep understanding of relevant standards and regulations.

Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams in the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices.

Strong knowledge of embedded software development tools, languages (e.g., C/C++), and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills & Experience???????
- Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and integration into medical devices
???????Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices as they relate to embedded systems in medical devices. - ???????Experience with machine learning and AI algorithms implemented in embedded systems for medical applications.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and IoT technologies, particularly in the context of connected medical devices. - Understanding of human factors engineering and its application in the development of user interfaces for medical devices.
- Previous experience in a consulting environment, particularly in managing client relationships and expectations.
Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for testing and automation purposes.
- Active participation in industry organizations or standards committees relevant to medical devices and embedded systems.
