They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing electromechanical systems for robotics applications. As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering team, overseeing the design, development, and testing of robotic systems, and ensuring the successful integration of mechanical components with electrical and software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical engineering team in the design, development, and testing of electromechanical systems for robotic applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Develop and implement mechanical design standards, processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality and reliable product development.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and design concepts.
  • Create detailed mechanical designs, including 3D models, drawings, and specifications, using CAD software.
  • Oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes and production units, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with performance and reliability requirements.
  • Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical and robotics engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on electromechanical systems and robotics.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from concept to production.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and modeling mechanical components.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with robotics and automation systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to robotics and electromechanical systems.
