Lead UX Designer with AI Healthcare Research Company

Job Description

A cutting-edge AI healthcare company is hiring a Lead UX Designer for their team. As a Lead UX Designer, you’ll guide the UX strategy across web-based and data-driven tools supporting biomedical research and discovery. This role is a full-time direct hire and is hybrid [3 days a week in Location – update as needed].

The company builds AI- and ML-powered software that helps scientists accelerate research and development in life sciences. You’ll collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and product teams to design intuitive, impactful experiences for complex workflows involving scientific data, modeling, and machine learning outputs.

Required Skills & Experience

Highly skilled in UX design for web-based applications

Experience designing for AI/ML-powered platforms

Experience working directly with scientists or researchers as end users

Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles

Strong portfolio demonstrating complex product design for technical users

Proficient in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)

Comfortable conducting user interviews and usability testing

Desired Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in UX design

Experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences industries

Degree in UX Design, HCI, Cognitive Science, or a related field

Familiarity with scientific workflows, data visualization, or R&D tools

Basic understanding of front-end development collaboration (HTML/CSS/JS)
