They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead their manufacturing initiatives, ensuring the successful transition from prototype to large-scale production. This role focuses on New Product Introduction (NPI), Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), robotics integration, and high-volume manufacturing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design for manufacturability, enhance production processes, and maintain the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the manufacturing engineering efforts for NPI projects, including design reviews, process development, and production ramp-up.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize PCBA designs for manufacturability and scalability.
- Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes for robotics systems, including assembly, testing, and integration.
- Drive process improvements, yield enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing lines.
- Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery of components and assemblies.
- Establish and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and quality control plans.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities to address manufacturing challenges.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the robotics or electronics industry.
- Expertise in NPI processes, PCBA design and manufacturing, and robotics systems assembly.
- Strong knowledge of large-volume manufacturing practices and strategies.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and simulation tools for process design and analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
