Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to join their innovative payments technology team. This is a full-time role based in the U.S., working on enterprise-scale applications in both public and private cloud environments. The work involves building secure, high-performance systems that enable healthcare providers and patients to easily handle financial transactions across multiple payment methods.
This is a chance to be part of a mission-driven organization focused on making healthcare billing and payments more transparent, efficient, and flexible. You’ll work on cutting-edge payment collection platforms, including PCI-compliant credit card processing, ACH, and check payments, while delivering real-time financial insights.
This is a hybrid full-time role with 1 day a week onsite (Fridays).
Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Strong proficiency with Java-based technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular.

Experience with Linux, SQL, RESTful APIs, AWS (EC2, Docker, Kubernetes), and other cloud technologies.
Desired Skills & Experience

Familiarity with Perl, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Terraform, or similar tools.

Agile development experience and an understanding of CI/CD practices.
