Security Engineer

Job Description Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join their IT Security team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on cutting-edge network and cloud security initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering and security- working with AWS environments, SIEM platforms, and network protection tools. You'll collaborate across teams to build, monitor, and enforce best-in-class security practices. Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in network security, cloud security (AWS), and SIEM platforms
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services and architecture (e.g., IAM, VPC, encryption)
• Experience with firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, and other core network security tools
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Sumo Logic
• Familiarity with TLS, VPN, and IPsec protocols
• Understanding of security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or CEH
• Experience collaborating with DevOps or infrastructure teams to secure pipelines
• Incident response experience in cloud environments
