Senior Backend Engineer / Python

We are currently working with a company in the Medical Devices industry with a focus on devices that measure focus levels to increase productivity and streamline performance. They are heavily in the growth stage of their life cycle and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team.

The ideal applicant will have strong fluency working with Python and developing Cloud Infrastructure. This role will involve collaborating with Neuroscientists and ML Engineers to ensure that the cloud supports both the developed products and the R&D teams. You will also have the ability to contribute to the architectural discussions and the decision making process to help drive the business. 

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience using Python for backend development
• Experience with any of the following: Flask, Fast API, Django
• Comfortable working with AWS APIs and building out cloud infrastructure
• Familiar with container networking concepts in Kubernetes
• Experience building dashboards for performance visualizations and monitoring
• Desire to work in a start up environment
• Clear communication, both written and verbal

Desired Skills & Experience

• BS in CS or equivalent related work experience
• Experience working in biotech is great, but not required
• Experience with wearable tech is another bonus
• Familiar with Snaplogic or other ETL workflow tools
