Senior Data Engineer

We're currently working with a company that specializes in full service software tools for the hospitality industry, including things like loyalty programs, gift cards, online ordering, and overall branded mobile experiences. Their goal is to continue innovating their system so that clients can leverage it to give customers as much value as possible over time. 

You will play a critical role on the Data Team, working closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to develop new platforms to store and process the massive amounts of customer data they receive to give actionable insights to improve the customer experience. The role will be in a hybrid setting, based in their Newton, MA, office 2x/week. 


Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow for orchestration of data workflows.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Daily Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data models and workflows in Snowflake.
• Implement and manage data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements and provide high-quality data solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
