Senior Concept Development Engineer - Cardiac Electrophysiology (Hybrid)

This company in the medical technology space is looking for a Senior Concept Development Engineer to join their Electrophysiology Division and support the development of their portfolio. The products in this portfolio create 3D maps of the electrical activity in a human heart and are used by physicians to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmia. This is a full time, hybrid role with the expectation of working onsite 4 days/week in an office in either Waltham or Cambridge, MA.

In this role, you will participate in the design and development of new tools and algorithms for innovative medical applications in the Cardiac Electrophysiology space.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • Significant experience in Python and/or MATLAB for prototyping, modeling, and analysis
  • Subject matter expertise in Cardiac Electrophysiology or a relevant medical field
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience using C++, QT, or Unix
  • PhD in related field (Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • Experience with navigation algorithms and/or Tomography
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and LabVIEW
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities
  • Creating and analyzing technical data to communicate high level, data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional group including hardware, software, systems, and mechanical engineering to maximize solution value
  • Develop engineering solutions and research competing technologies related to the Cardio Electrophysiology field
  • Model and develop new algorithms for breakthrough mapping and automated sensing features
  • Support the creating and execution of project plans
