Senior Java Engineer - Robotic Simulation

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for their R+D group that builds new simulation concepts and 3D worlds for robotics simulation. This specific group focuses on growth by evaluating and optimizing new designs and technologies before construction even starts. The right candidate must be willing to commute to their office located in Boston, MA one to two days a week. The organization is global leader in innovative robotics and automation solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technology to transform customer experiences and streamline operations across various industries. In need of an engineer that can come in and be a complete self-starter working on their back-end Java code base and helping scale their Docker containers horizontally. Experience in either simulation or graphics development is a big plus. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in programming Java
• 5+ years of software development experience / leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Ability to go into their Boston, MA office 1-2 days per week

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in full software development life cycle (code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience)
• Experience with Aspect J
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
