Our client is a fast-growing robotics automation company transforming warehouse operations through intelligent, autonomous robotic systems. They are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer with deep expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering to lead the development of complex electromechanical robotic systems. You will play a critical role in taking concepts from initial prototype to high-volume production, ensuring robust mechanical performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead mechanical product development from concept through detailed design, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing ramp-up.

Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to define product requirements and ensure integration across disciplines.

Own 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and BOM creation.

Develop and validate mechanical components and assemblies for reliability, durability, and performance in warehouse environments.

Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and cost reduction initiatives to support scalable production.

Engage directly with vendors and contract manufacturers to qualify parts, processes, and production lines.

Lead design reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality and field issues.

Support NPI efforts including tooling, fixture design, pilot builds, and production line setup.

B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

7+ years of experience in mechanical product development, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

Strong experience in designing for electromechanical systems or robotics products.

Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and PLM systems.

Solid understanding of mechanical components including sheet metal, machined parts, injection-molded plastics, and castings.

Hands-on experience with DFM, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing process validation.

Demonstrated success bringing complex products from prototype through production.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.

Experience with robotics, automation, or warehouse/logistics technologies.

Familiarity with FEA, thermal and structural analysis tools.

Experience working with offshore manufacturing partners.
