Staff Robotics Perception Software Engineer
We are looking for a talented Robotics Perception Software Engineer to join our expanding robotics team. You will design and optimize perception algorithms that enable autonomous systems to accurately interpret and interact with real-world automotive environments. Your work will be central to the performance, safety, and reliability of our next-generation robotic platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and refine perception algorithms for object detection, tracking, and scene understanding.

Integrate and fuse data from cameras, lidars, radars, and other sensors into accurate environmental models.

Implement SLAM, 3D reconstruction, and localization systems.
 -  
Build robust sensor calibration and synchronization frameworks.
 -  
Develop real-time perception pipelines for closed-loop robotic control.
 -  
Collaborate with hardware, planning, and controls teams to integrate perception modules into the full system stack.
 -  
Conduct field tests and improve system robustness in diverse automotive environments (garages, service bays, tire shops, etc.).
 
Required Qualifications

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience developing software for robotic perception systems.
 -  
Strong expertise in 3D computer vision, deep learning, and sensor fusion.
 -  
Proficiency in C++ and Python.
 -  
Experience with ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, PCL, or similar frameworks.
 -  
Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
 -  
Hands-on experience with RGB cameras, lidars, radars, and IMUs.
 -  
Knowledge of calibration, SLAM, and real-time system constraints.
 
Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying perception systems in commercial robotic products.

Background in automotive robotics or industrial automation.
 -  
Knowledge of CUDA, GPU acceleration, and real-time computing.
 -  
Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Unity.

Familiarity with automotive applications like ADAS, autonomous navigation, or robotic vehicle servicing.
