Senior Security Engineer

Job Description Our client, a rapidly growing security startup, tools hiring a Senior Security engineer. This is a hybrid role in Boston, 4 days a week onsite in Back Bay. Backed by top-tier investors and early traction with design partners, they’re assembling a core technical team with deep expertise in security engineering, automation, and AI. If you’re excited about building from the ground up in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment, this role is in line. Full-Time Hybrid in Back Bay Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, including roles in SOC, Blue Team, or incident response
• Proficient with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms
• Skilled in scripting and automation using Python or similar languages
• Cloud security experience is a plus, but not required
• Broad knowledge and genuine passion for cybersecurity across multiple domains
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication abilities

Desired Skills & Experience

• Computer science degree is highly preferred’
• Start up experience

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

• SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) – 20%
• SOAR (Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Swimlane) – 15%
• EDR (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne) – 15%

Daily Responsibilities

• 70% Hands On
• 30% Team Collaboration or Client Facing
