IT Support Engineer – Greater Boston Area – Full-Time – IT Consulting
We are working with a fast-growing IT consulting firm based in the Greater Boston area that is looking to add a skilled IT Support Engineer to their team. This is a full-time opportunity supporting a variety of client environments, offering the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and gain hands-on experience across desktop support, system administration, and basic networking.

This is a client-facing, field-based role ideal for someone with 4–8 years of experience who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working directly with end users. You’ll have the opportunity to work in multiple environments, develop both technical and professional consulting skills, and make a visible impact. Candidates must have their own reliable vehicle and be willing to travel throughout Boston and the surrounding North Shore area.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of IT support experience in a client-facing or consulting environment

  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration

  • Solid understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers/switches, firewalls)

  • Experience with desktop and laptop troubleshooting (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.)

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)

  • Basic PowerShell scripting or automation experience

  • M365/Azure Active Directory exposure

  • Experience with backup and antivirus solutions (e.g., Datto, Veeam, Sophos)

  • MSP or multi-client experience is a strong plus

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown:

  • 60% Windows Desktop/Office 365

  • 20% Windows Server / AD

  • 20% Basic Networking (switches, firewalls, routers)

Daily Responsibilities:

  • 70% Hands-On Technical Support

  • 10% Client Communication & Travel

  • 20% Internal Collaboration & Documentation
