Job Description

An aerospace company is looking for Mid to Principal Avionics Systems Engineers with hands on experience in the avionics industry to join their team. You'll be responsible for capturing requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures in accordance with the objectives of ARP-4754B, and work across systems, hardware, AEH, and software design functions. Ideal candidates have experience working with avionics equipment certification processes (ideally DL-178SW or ARP 4754) and have strong communication skills as you'll work with both internal and external customers.

This role is 5 days on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with fully remote flexibility for the right candidate. This is a W2 contract position.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering
  • Experience authoring in-depth technical documents
  • Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software
  • Experience developing automated tests
  • Previous experience in the aerospace or avionics industry, specifically working with safety certifications for avionics
