Leading Financial Services organization is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support this Data Warehouse for a long-term contract assignment in Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ.
Contract Duration: 24 months
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Strong ETL development and support experience.
- Advanced SQL skills – critical for troubleshooting and writing queries independently.
- Ability to:
- Investigate data discrepancies.
- Optimize data pipelines and SQL queries.
- Support job monitoring and performance tuning.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience converting applications from .NET to Java
- Background in banking or financial services domains
- Familiarity with compliance-driven and regulated environments
- Cloud technologies
What You Will Be Doing
- Help with ETL processes
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries - MUST have
- Investigate and resolve data issues raised by downstream consumers (e.g., incorrect or stale data).
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, especially related to data refresh lags and job inefficiencies.
- Work on incidents, deployments, and operations for the Data Warehouse system.
Must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship
