Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with evaluation and pilot testing of surveillance and monitoring system technologies within a large, distributed enterprise setting.
  • Experience with Hanwha and Arecont IP camera solutions including interoperability with the Verint surveillance system.
  • Experience with the Verint surveillance system solution including OpCenter, VidCenter and Edge VMS components.
  • Experience with Digital Monitoring Products hardware and software solutions for alarm monitoring including DMP Virtual Receivers and Entre.
  • Experience with Carrier Mastermind alarm monitoring software.
  • Experience with field installation of IP Camera, Network Video Recorder and Alarm Panel hardware.
  • Strong working knowledge of IP based network implementations including VLANs, VLAN routing, ACL's, 802.1x Certificate-based authentication, Cisco switch configuration and POE power settings.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Review and analyze basic or tactical Infrastructure Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
  • Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide information to client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
  • Evaluating new technologies, preparing specifications for system changes and recommending and initiating system testing.
