Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at our Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS cloud-native tools and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AWS Cloud Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and robust cloud architectures using AWS cloud-native tools.
  • Cloud Management: Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and other AWS services.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Security: Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to best security practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture best practices.
    • Proficiency with automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI.
    • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar.
    • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Certifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Developer are highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
