The ideal candidate will take charge of managing and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Management: Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex network environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Technology Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of Fortigate, Fortinet, and Cisco products to configure, manage, and troubleshoot network components.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems, ensuring the highest levels of data protection.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring project goals are met.
- Network Monitoring: Oversee network monitoring and performance tuning, ensuring optimal uptime and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to support and integrate network solutions with overall IT infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on Fortigate, Fortinet, and Cisco technologies.
- Proven track record of leading network projects and managing network operations.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- CCNP certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local to Charlotte or the Carolinas for occasional onsite work.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of network engineers.
- Familiarity with other network technologies and tools.
