Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement network solutions, primarily utilizing Juniper and Cisco technologies.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Architect to ensure seamless integration of network systems within the company's logistics infrastructure.
- Handle advanced network troubleshooting and provide support for escalation issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Assist in the development and deployment of new network infrastructure projects.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of network systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document network configurations and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance with best practices.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in a network engineering role.
- Strong experience working with Juniper and Cisco technologies.
- JNCIE certification is required.
- Expertise in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale network environments.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure implementation—less focus on security.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work onsite in SouthPark, Charlotte, NC.
Nice to Have
- Cisco certification (CCNP or CCIE).
- Experience in a logistics or similar industry.
- Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) technologies.
- Experience in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
