ServiceNow Developer/Administrator

The ServiceNow Administrator plays a key role in supporting the IT Department Manager by maintaining the reliability, performance, and integrity of ITSM processes, while enabling smooth integration and collaboration across IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement systems.

The company is located in Steele Creek (10 minutes away from Charlotte, NC Airport) and will be 5 days onsite a week.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Configure and administer ServiceNow SAM, HAM, and Change Management modules to support IT operations
  • Maintain the CMDB, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of asset data
  • Oversee full asset lifecycle processes from procurement through retirement, including hardware refresh and software license compliance
  • Design and implement ITIL-aligned Change Management workflows, approval processes, and maintenance windows
  • Integrate ServiceNow with HRIS and ERP systems to automate asset onboarding, purchase tracking, and assignment workflows
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor asset inventory, software utilization, and change performance metrics
  • Build and maintain custom scripts, business rules, client scripts, and automated workflows to extend ServiceNow capabilities
  • Partner with IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders to ensure ServiceNow processes align with operational and business requirements
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization efforts
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards through well-designed processes and documentation
  • Assist with system maintenance and upgrades to maintain platform stability and reliability
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for ServiceNow issues, escalating complex problems as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, with direct ownership of SAM, HAM, and Change Management modules
  • Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with HRIS and ERP platforms, particularly for procurement and asset lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and experience aligning ServiceNow processes with best practices
  • Experience managing and optimizing CMDB structures, data integrity, and asset classification models
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including JavaScript scripting, Flow Designer, and workflow automation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
