A client in the Managed Services space is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior MSP Field Engineer to join our team on behalf of a third-party agency. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional technical support and services to our clients across various industries. As a Senior MSP Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical expertise, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions to meet the diverse needs of these clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, providing on-site technical support and assistance as needed. Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to networking, infrastructure, and systems. Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Solution Implementation: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, implement, and configure IT solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements. This may include network infrastructure upgrades, software deployments, and security enhancements.
  • Project Management: Lead technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of client configurations, network diagrams, and technical procedures. Generate regular reports on service activities, project status, and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior engineers, sharing your expertise and providing guidance on best practices in IT service delivery and customer support.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to coordinate technical support, resolve escalations, and procure hardware/software as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
  • Strong proficiency in networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
  • Experience with server administration (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus.
