Digital Workplace Engineer - Employee Productivity Applications & Intranet

My client is seeking a skilled Engineer comfortable with IT software across Project Management, Whiteboarding & Ideation, Intranet, and Federated Search categories. Ideal candidates will have experience in the complete software lifecycle and general application support, enabling them to provide tailored solutions in Digital Workplace services, optimization, and overall end-user experience.

Note: Strong experience with ServiceNow EC Platform (Intranet) and various productivity apps is essential.

Role Overview: As a member of the Project Team, you will play a critical role in defining, designing, and implementing a Digital Workplace setup tailored to diverse employee teams and stakeholders across multiple locations. This role requires hands-on experience in both creating and maintaining high-performance operational systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of developers, admins, analysts, and engineers, gaining a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of the solutions being built.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and implement modern workplace technologies within an enterprise environment.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and business teams to deliver quality solutions, documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Contribute to process improvements, integrations, and the automation of solutions.
  • Work with solutions teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to create solution designs, guide end-users through migrations, and support ongoing maintenance of custom solutions and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in Digital Workplace applications; 3+ years with Smartsheet and other project management tools.
  • Skills in Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet. Experience creating dashboards, reports, wireframes, and knowledge-base articles.
  • Tech Stack: Familiarity with Figma, Lucid, intranet/search systems, public cloud providers (e.g., Azure), SAML/SCIM, and automation tools.
  • Bonus Skills: Microsoft SharePoint, Slack, and Cloud App Security.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and excellent UI/UX knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and change management.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent in problem-solving, data visualization, and communication.
  • Learning Drive: Motivated to learn and adopt new technologies; coding knowledge in Postman or Python is a plus, though not required.
  • Project & Process Management: Capable of managing smaller projects to enhance digital workplace applications and support processes.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Manage Slack channels for the service desk team, provide “white glove” support for high-touch users, and maintain updated knowledge base articles.

Tools & Applications in Use: This role involves working with Lucid, Figma, Adobe Suite, Intranet, Federated Search, Calendly, Grammarly, Airtable, and Asana, among others.
