Front End Engineer / Vue / Chicago / Contract

Seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This hybrid role is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3-5 years of front-end development experience, particularly in e-commerce, looking for a contract-to-hire position. You will work closely with our design, product, and backend teams to build and enhance user-facing features and ensure a seamless online shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end applications for our e-commerce platform.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and visual designs into functional code.
• Work with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow between front-end and back-end systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code using modern front-end technologies such as Vue, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Ensure the website’s performance, scalability, and security in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on e-commerce or similar web applications.
• Strong proficiency in Vue, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating them into front-end applications.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• E-commerce platform experience
• Knowledge of front-end build tools and automation
• Experience with testing frameworks and
• Familiarity with server-side technologies and Node.js.
