Senior Network Security Engineer / F5 Load Balancers

A leading supply-chain logistics company is growing out their security team and hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer. You'll discover, assess, and mitigate security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, and conduct network and host threat assessments, manage the company's security platform and solution efforts, and assist in their deployment. You'll primarly work with Palo Alto Firewalls, FortiGates, and F5 Load Balancers. You'll also create action plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and promote security initiatives.

This role is remote hybrid, 4 days on-site in Oak Brook, Chicago. Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Network Security
  • Experience working within a corporate or enterprise environment, handling corporate firewalls (preferably Palo Alto), as well as Panorama Experience, Global Protect VPN.
  • Experience maintaining and managing corporate load balancers
  • Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Red Hat Linux, Oracle, Linux, etc.
  • Ability to work in a team while also taking initiative and working independently
