Functional SAP Architect

We’re working with a small, high-impact consulting firm based in Chicago that’s leading complex SAP transformations for clients across North America. This hybrid position is for a full-time SAP Functional Solution Architect with a focus on Finance (FI/CO) and S/4HANA migrations. You'll work closely with business and technology leaders to drive successful transitions from SAP ECC to S/4HANA—making a lasting difference in how finance functions operate and scale.

Required Skills & Experience
· 15+ years of SAP Finance (FI/CO) experience
· 2+ full-cycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations in a lead architect role
· Hands-on experience with:
?– Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
?– New Asset Accounting
?– Margin Analysis (CO-PA)
?– Material Ledger
?– New GL, Segment Reporting, and Parallel Accounting
· Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology
· Ability to communicate effectively with CFOs, Controllers, and senior finance stakeholders
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related technical field

Desired Skills & Experience
· Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (U.S., Canada, Mexico preferred)
· Experience integrating SAP with consolidation, planning, and forecasting tools (EMP)
· Cross-functional SAP module knowledge (e.g., MM, SD, WM)
· Experience in data migration, cutover planning, and audit compliance
· Open-minded approach to SAP best practices and third-party tools
