Ruby on Rails Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience to help design, build, and maintain secure, scalable applications that support critical healthcare services. This role will work closely with product, data, and clinical stakeholders to develop technology that improves patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and care delivery experiences.

You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle — from architecture and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring — while ensuring compliance with healthcare data and security standards.


Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building production applications with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
• Experience building or consuming APIs
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of secure coding practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working in healthcare, health tech, or regulated industries
• Experience with background job frameworks (Sidekiq, Resque, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
• Exposure to event-driven or microservices architectures
• Experience working with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7)
