Senior Juniper Engineer / Data Center Responsibilities

We’re helping a healthcare and hospital system local to the Chicago area. They help thousands of patients in from small injuries to long-term illnesses.

They’re looking for a Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and network appliances for data and voice transport. This role operates with minimal supervision, mentors junior engineers, and collaborates with application and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include managing complex projects and coordinating with external technology partners while maintaining expert-level knowledge of network and application technologies.

Must have extensive Juniper experience to be considered.


Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional Network experience
• 3+ years of data center experience
• Last 3 years working in a Juniper environment
• OSPF, BGP, and DNS

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with wireless network technologies
• Certifications in Juniper, Cisco, or related fields
• Programming or scripting skills for network automation
