R&D Product Engineer

A leading global manufacturer in the telecommunications and fiber optics space is seeking an R&D Product Engineer. You'll play a key role in developing and improving ribbon fiber cable designs that meet industry standards. You'll gain exposure to global product launches and R&D strategy. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving and wants to work in a collaborative environment. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of engineering design experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials preferred)
• Proven experience designing fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cables
• Industry experience in fiber optic cable manufacturing
• Strong CADCAE proficiency (i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Familiarity with industry standards and performance requirements for optical cables

Desired Skills & Experience

• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, cabling, and jacketing
• Experience with product validation, test planning, and root-cause analysis
