Network Security Engineer

We are working with a leading provider of ground station services for satellite operations, offering robust solutions for Earth observation, satellite communication, and spacecraft tracking. Their advanced infrastructure enables efficient data reception, processing, and distribution, supporting a wide range of applications including environmental monitoring, maritime surveillance, and space exploration. They are looking for a full-time Network Security Engineer to join their team hybrid to Denver, CO. 

With a global network of ground stations, this company ensures reliable and secure communication with satellites orbiting Earth, contributing to the advancement of space-based technologies and services. You will play a crucial role helping stand up (designing and deploying) networks in the US for both US based and international clients. 

Required Skills & Experience
  • experience working with LAN/WAN/SDWAN systems
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and 800-53 - controls compliance
  • Coding (preferably C, C++, or Python)
  • On prem/private cloud and Azure cloud
  • Experience working space to ground networking, preferably previous work in the space industry 
  • Ability to travel as needed (Europe)
  • Ability to work hybrid to Denver, CO (3 days)
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with routers, switches, VPN deployment, risk mitigation 

What You Will Be Doing
  • Assisting in the establishment of networks within the United States, including design and deployment services, catering to both domestic and international clients.
  • Crafting ground equipment and delivering global customer support for testing events and network connectivity pertaining to satellite communication systems.
  • Ensuring the implementation of robust security measures across operations.
