Senior Operations Engineer / Ellenwood, GA / Hybrid - 3 days

A growing company in the telecommunication industry is looking for their next team member. This company is hiring for a Senior Operations Engineer to work full-time and in their Ellenwood GA office 3 days per week. This company is looking to containerize their virtual machines and move closer towards virtualization efforts in their environment due to an influx of new projects.

In this position, you will be helping to build a private datacenter for a major client by designing their production environment for them. You will be managing on-prem Linux servers, containerizing virtual machines with Kubernetes, working with a private cloud network, and helping them with virtualization for storage efforts mainly.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as an Operations Engineer
• Bare metal experience with on-prem servers and hardware
• Prior experience with virtualization
• Ability to containerize with Kubernetes in a private cloud environment
•  Skilled in software upgrades / system upgrades

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong communication skillset
• Prior private cloud experience
• Comfortability working in office hybrid
• Strong infrastructure/operations background
• BS in CS or similar degree
