We are partnered with a well-established investment company in Fort Worth, TX, that is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer ready to grow into an IT Manager role within the next few years. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity, offering a highly technical, hands-on position supporting a complex hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure cloud environments. You’ll work alongside their current IT Manager—who is approaching retirement—to ensure a smooth transition into leadership while maintaining high operational excellence across infrastructure, network systems, and enterprise security.

Contract Duration: Full-time, direct hire Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems, or network administration.
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with Windows Server, VMware, Azure, Cisco, Access Points, and firewalls.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide hands-on technical support and lead IT operations.
  • Skilled in project implementation, IT security, and enforcing best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other IT professionals and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and network teams.

  • 5–10 years into your IT career, with interest in moving into management within the next 2–3 years
  • Ability to learn about diverse environments quickly and adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent soft skills to manage and train staff effectively
  • Previous experience supporting or managing hybrid on-prem and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to infrastructure optimization
  • Understanding of security frameworks, data compliance, and vendor management
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple business units and technical domains
