SQL Data Engineer

A privately held, fast-paced family office is seeking a Data Engineer to join its highly collaborative IT and finance team. This is a rare opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment that blends the creativity of a startup with the stability of an established firm.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with financial professionals to gather and interpret data requirements

• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)

• Design and maintain SQL Server database architecture, including tables, stored procedures, triggers, and UDFs

• Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries for peak performance

• Build data analysis tools, including Excel queries and macros

• Manage database backups, maintenance plans, and implement security protocols

• Bring creative problem-solving to a variety of data challenges

What We're Looking For

• 3–7+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience

• Strong work history with demonstrated stability

• Solid understanding of relational databases, performance tuning, and scripting

• Must be able to work on-site in Fort Worth, TX (50-hour work week)

• Commitment to a minimum of 2 years in the role

• (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or a related field
