System & Network Engineer
Fort Worth, Texas
Full Time
$110k - $130k
Join a Fort Worth-based private investment firm as an IT Systems & Network Engineer in a full-time, in-office role where you'll manage and evolve IT infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This position blends hands-on systems administration, network engineering, and strategic problem solving while requiring strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll be part of a small, tight-knit team that values initiative, ownership, and creative problem-solving. This role requires 50 hours per week commitment with participation in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure coverage for critical systems outside of regular business hours.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically sharp professional who wants to make a real impact in a private investment firm environment. You'll have the autonomy to lead infrastructure projects, explore emerging technologies including AI tools and services, and contribute meaningfully to a team that encourages creative problem-solving. Unlike larger organizations where you might be siloed into one specialty, this role offers broad exposure across network engineering, systems administration, security, automation, and cutting-edge AI integration. The firm is actively evaluating Azure OpenAI, Sonnet, and other machine learning models, giving you hands-on experience with emerging technologies. You'll work with a comprehensive technology stack including Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Cisco networking, and advanced security tools like CrowdStrike. The compensation is highly competitive, offering up to 20% over your current pay or other offers, and the firm is looking for someone who can commit for at least two years to grow with the organization and take on increasing responsibility.
