Job Title: IT Administrator
Job Summary: The IT Administrator will be responsible for the provisioning and de-provisioning of team members' computer systems and accounts, along with managing inventory for IT equipment. This role involves the installation, configuration, and support of various network resources, including printers, VOIP phone systems, and other peripheral devices. The IT Administrator will address and resolve issues for team members, coordinating with IT support teams, cross-functional organizations, and external vendors as necessary. Leveraging your expertise, you will also identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and collaborate with other technology teams to design, plan, and implement effective solutions.
This position will be 5 days on-site in Fuquay- Varina
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the network, ensuring its efficiency and security, while recommending and implementing necessary upgrades.
- Create, maintain, and support network users, permissions, and equipment, ensuring seamless operation of business systems.
- Install, configure, and monitor computer and network equipment, along with supporting infrastructure, maintaining servers, hardware, applications, services, and network connectivity for all workstations.
- Evaluate and recommend security enhancements and system upgrades, including disaster recovery and backup solutions, ensuring network equipment is updated to the latest firmware.
- Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Utilize networking knowledge, particularly within Cisco and Meraki environments, DNS, and related technologies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with IT infrastructure, including server and network hardware, cabling, and wireless technology.
- Proficiency in Windows Active Directory and Meraki networks.
- Strong understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP.
- Ability to analyze information and respond effectively to issues.
- Skilled in documenting business processes and system configurations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Adherence to safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Programming and database knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of IT support experience (Required).
- 3+ years of network support experience (Required).
- 2+ years of network management experience (Preferred).
- 3+ years of network security experience (Preferred).
