They are urgently excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Engineering Manager professional to join the team. This individual will lead their Enterprise Applications team. Home Organizers (HOI) is building a new Enterprise Applications department, this department will be operating similar to a startup environment but with the support of a large, privately-held corporation that doesn’t have red tape or unnecessary time-consuming policies. Over the next decade HOI will be innovating multiple verticals in home services driven through new technology practices. They plan to develop within quick iterative cycles with a small team of highly motivated and expert engineers who have direct oversight on product and development.
they are looking for an engineering manager who is an exceptional individual contributor and at least 5 times faster then the average engineer in their speed and quality in project pipeline delivery. This engineer manager will be working with, leading individuals, and building new Web Based Applications, architecting new enterprise systems, engineering data pipelines / models, building ML Pipelines, integration cloud infrastructures (specifically Kubernetes environments), IoT, and API services. They will be expected to have an excellent understanding of all these categories of software engineering and be capable of communicating business objectives to cross-departmental leaders and to employees who will develop company technology within these areas. They should be exceptional in system architecture, algorithms, product/project
management and web-application development. They will ultimately be responsible for the quality and speed of production for the output of all above mentioned technologies with a department of managers, developers, and other experts as they build out the infrastructure of the team.
This engineer will be part of the foundation of the technological transformation of the company. They will be expected to learn new technologies on the job, quickly adapt and adjust to new environments with ease. Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting new applications and enterprise systems.
- Understanding business objectives and communicating these objectives into system diagrams and feature requirements.
- Building CI/CD pipelines and maintaining and managing all new releases into production systems as well as maintaining production systems from instance failures and software bugs.
- Developing and managing unit, integration, and E2E tests for all production and staging codebases.
- Developing and maintaining best practices for continuous software development.
- Working with leadership and key business units to develop an internal product
- pipeline/strategy and ensuring proper communication of expectations, deadlines, and headcount planning and hiring.
- Delivering on business objective deadlines for key technologies.
- Hiring and developing a team of front-end engineers, back-end engineers, ML
- engineers, database engineers, database / data engineers, and other engineering skills relating to the company's enterprise applications.
- Highly experienced with working in and delivering mission critical applications in
- enterprise systems.
- Led and managed the development of multiple applications from scratch with large user
- bases.
- Understanding of mission critical systems.
- Experience implementing the agile software development process successfully.
- Passion for building excellent systems, whose main objective is accomplishing
- businesses technology needs.
- Humility and willingness to learn, expand, and take on any responsibility within the
- Enterprise Application group of requirements.
- 10+ years of experience working in mission critical, high pressure, and innovative
- software development environments.
- Experiencing managing or being responsible for a sub-department or department with 6
- or more engineers in its scope.
- 200-250K Base Salary
