Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of general network hands-on experience, including various network protocols.
- 3+ years of Cisco networking experience, including routing, switching, voice, and video.
- Network tools handling and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to think analytically and use the process of elimination to disprove potential causes of trouble conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of users and vendors
- Able to carry items 50 lbs and go check on systems in server closets.
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities
- Work in a corporate environment located onsite with one of our largest and most well-known customers.
Candidate will be involved in the following activities as part of the scope of TD Tool Install under the direction of First Party. - Tool installation, activation, support, connectivity, verification, and relocation.
- Work with various groups including Trades, onsite support, and tool groups to support config, patching, and cabling for all tools throughout the Client manufacturing environment.
- Configuration of switch ports based on documentation and coordination with the Trades team.
- Respond to Break Fix/Incident, involving tool connectivity issues for ticketed events.
- Troubleshoot system connectivity up to Layer 3 for Request Task ticketed problems.
- Work as a member of a very busy team performing initial configuration of ports for various factories
- Work with various groups including Trades, onsite support, and others to support config, patching, and cabling for all tools through manufacturing floor.
- Keep detailed records of work performed outside of ticketing.
- Maintain electronic Records with new port information.
- Cisco switch port configurations based on documentation and coordination with the Trades team.
- Static routing, dynamic routing, VLAN routing, switch trunking.
