Cyber Security Manager / Great Benefits

This local branch of the state government is seeking a Cyber Security Program Manager to bolster their security department. This person will be responsible for security engineering and management of the engineering team. They will also be able to hire their own team under them and really make a strong impact on the cyber security department. If you are looking for a 50/50 split between hands-on technical work and management, this could be the role for you! They also offer excellent benefits. This is a full-time position that works on a hybrid schedule, so only candidates local to the Indianapolis area will be considered. 

Ideal candidates will have both management and engineering experience. There will also be some risk and compliance involved. Candidates should be well-versed in blue team security (EDR, incident response, etc.), cloud security, SOC, and GRC. Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a senior security role, preferably within Sec Ops
• Strong understanding of L1-L3 incident response
• Strong understanding of the cloud security space (preferably Azure/Microsoft)
• Understanding of common compliance frameworks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• CISSP or other security certifications, including cloud
