VP Clinical Operations - Healthcare, Cardio

Our client is URGENTLY looking for a Vice President of Clinical Operations to drive and execute their customer delivery strategy across 100+ CardioCare customers. This leader will interact with physicians, Cardiovascular Service Line Administrators, CardioCare users, and industry partners. This individual will lead a team of Clinical Operations Directors (CODs) and report to the COO. This is a unique opportunity to become a leader with an early-stage digital health company and directly impact patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations Team Leadership

  • Leadership of a team of clinical consultants to consistently deliver a best-in-class customer experience across the CardioCare install base
  • Leading business case development, value delivery communication, and negotiating customer contract renewals ensuring full customer retention
  • Strategic relationship management across their customer base including industry leading key opinion leaders in the cardiovascular space
  • Serve as key liaison between product, technical operations and customer success team for launch planning and execution
Post Sales Implementation
  • Partnership with sales leadership to ensure a seamless sale to service handoff for each new customer implementation
  • Work closely with clinical leaders, COD team, sales lead and technical operations to facilitate efficient post sales processes (e.g. minimize time from contract sign to go-live)
Life Sciences Delivery
  • Partner with product and COD team to deliver life sciences partnerships with excellence
This role requires privileged access controls for critical systems or data, ensuring that only authorized employees have access to sensitive information to help prevent data breaches and unauthorized access to sensitive information.
Education and experience:
  • Passion for helping patients and a desire to work at a mission-driven company
  • Bachelor’s degree & 10+ years of client services, sales, or strategy leadership roles in healthcare (medtech, pharma, industry corporate strategy, strategy marketing, or therapy development groups)
  • 5+ years of people management experience required.
  • In-depth structural heart industry knowledge required
  • Therapy development experience and/or first-hand experience leading structural heart program operations strongly preferred
  • Experience consulting in the hospital environment preferred
  • Strengths in customer-facing interactions, relationship management (especially with physicians and CV administrators), and sales (upselling to existing customers)
  • Experience leading teams to quotas or specific account retention criteria
  • Skills in business case development and communication (ROI analysis)
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into a high-level strategic message, and to interpret internal/external health system factors into practical recommendations and solutions
  • Ability to learn clinical detail quickly – dive into the AHA/ACC guidelines, read the latest clinical papers, and learn from the doctors and nurses they partner with.
  • Strengths in critical thinking, developing hypotheses, interpreting data, and communicating actionable insights through analytics and data-driven storytelling
  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of business, clinical, marketing, and technical professionals to help navigate through complex situations.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, clinical and financial comprehension, strategic frameworks, and live presentations, with high attention to detail and output.
  • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer focused.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-direction
  • The ability to work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across functions
  • Knowledge of US clinical practices related to patient care for cardiovascular disease
  • Master’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Domestic travel required up to 50%
  • Authorization to work in the USA
This position is remote however travel to customer locations or our headquarters in Aliso Viejo CA will be required
