Contract Duration: 12+ Months
- Core Java:
- Proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or later)
- Understanding of Java programming concepts like OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms
- Exception handling and logging (Log4j, SLF4J)
- Multithreading and concurrency (Threads, Executor Service, Synchronization)
- Java Collections Framework (List, Set, Map, Queue, etc.)
- Java Frameworks & Tools:
- Hibernate/JPA (Java Persistence API) for ORM (Object-Relational Mapping)
- Spring Boot for microservices-based architectures
- JMS (Java Message Service) for messaging
- Web Technologies:
- Servlets
- RESTful and SOAP Web Services (JAX-RS, JAX-WS)
- JSON/XML processing using Jackson, JAXB, or Gson
- Unit Testing & Build Tools:
- JUnit, TestNG for unit testing
- Mockito, PowerMock for mocking
- Maven or Gradle for dependency management and builds
- CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Version Control:
- Git, SVN (Subversion) for version control
- Database Fundamentals:
- Proficiency in SQL, including joins, subqueries, and aggregation functions
- Experience with PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages)
- Database normalization and optimization techniques
- Data types, indexes, constraints, and transaction management in Oracle
- Performance tuning and query optimization (EXPLAIN plans, indexing, etc.)
- Message-Oriented Middleware:
- Familiarity with JMS (Java Message Service) and message queue technologies like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or Kafka
- Experience with Message-Driven Beans (MDB) in enterprise Java applications
- Proficiency in message queues (synchronous and asynchronous communication)
- Integration Patterns:
- Familiar with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
- Pub/Sub (Publish/Subscribe) messaging models and point-to-point queues
- Asynchronous Communication:
- Understanding of asynchronous processing in Java (using JMS or frameworks like Spring’s @Async)
- Event-driven architecture using messaging
- Operating Systems:
- Comfortable working with Linux/Unix-based systems (command line, file systems, scripts)
- Application Servers:
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, Undertow for deploying Java applications
- Cloud Platforms (Optional but valuable):
- Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying Java-based applications
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- API Management(nice to have):
- API Gateway tools like Kong, Spring Cloud Gateway, or Apigee for managing and securing REST APIs
- Security:
- Understanding of security protocols (OAuth, SSL/TLS, JWT, etc.)
- Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms in Java and Oracle applications
- Messaging Protocols:
- Knowledge of message formats like XML, JSON, SOAP, and AMQP for message exchanges
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles for integration with message queues or services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Collaboration in agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems
- Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
