Our client is seeking a Store Systems Project & Release Manager for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule. Will ensure the successful delivery of highly complex Store Systems Projects and Manage Releases with agility. Will be responsible for managing multiple cross functional project activities, including project releases from development teams, mapping application dependencies during delivery over the complete Project Life Cycle from initiation through implementation and ensures that business solutions meet the customer needs in the planned timeframes and within the budget.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4-year college degree.
  • PMP and CSM certification.
  • 7 to 10 years of program/project, release, and process management / analysis experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and additional project management tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment across multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels across the company.
  • Keen attention to detail with superior organizational skills and passion for driving change.
  • Analytical capability to effectively analyze project process and trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Talented team player and collaborator with a can-do work ethic.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensures that project scope, requirements, and business objectives are clearly documented and agreed to. Organizes project plans and project teams.
  • Ensures commitment of appropriately skilled resources required for delivery of all elements of the project, as well as necessary subject matter experts from the affected business areas.
  • Manages the project status, releases, across cross functional teams, as they relate to projects including roles, level of involvement, and expectations.
  • Develops and manages execution of project & manages software release planning, dependency mapping and communication from development teams.
  • Ensure that information related to progress, and issues are being communicated with the project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Create presentations as needed/required to Store Systems leadership as well as creating presentations for Executive leadership, and project(s) status reporting utilizing tool and methods as approved by the Corporate Program Management Office.
  • Guides the teams in estimating the level of effort involved in project(s) delivery and creating an achievable schedule based upon that. Utilizes estimating techniques and tools in this process.
  • Manages risk by routinely identifying, assessing, and developing mitigation plans for events that could impact the success of the projects.
  • Mastery of agile project management methodology, tools, and templates.
  • Proficient in handling multiple cross-functional projects, schedule development, scope management and cost management.
  • Technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages, i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control and close, and the supporting processes (scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management)
  • Ensure that quality project standards are met as prescribed by IT Services through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies, and deliverables.
  • Directly influence cross-functional teams to assure work is completed on schedule, within budget and high quality
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects.
  • Ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
  • Close the project to formalize acceptance of the project, results, feedback, and capture IP (demos, stories, etc.) internally and externally.
  • Oversee performance metrics and projections, and monitor key project metrics such as cost, schedule, and quality indicators.
  • Plan for and manage change.
  • Resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Document tools and processes in Contender Knowledge base.
  • Exhibit accountability, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement and coordinated execution with internal and external stakeholders.
