Senior Network Engineer (Datacenter)

Our client, a large IT consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help with the re-architecture and implementation of one of their datacenters. They are looking to completely upgrade this datacenter, so need thought leaders who can help them design Nexus and Palo Alto into the datacenter and split it into the cloud.

The ideal candidate has extensive datacenter experience and can do a mix of design and hands on networking in a large environment. They are planning on having a network comprised of Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto & FortiGate firewalls, and Aruba wireless. Having network automation or cloud networking knowledge is a huge plus as they ideally want to split the datacenter into the cloud and automate mundane processes as they go.

This is a direct hire position, fully onsite in Irving, Texas. Compensation is $150-175K depending on experience plus a 10% annual bonus.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands on experience in datacenter focused networking.
• Strong knowledge of Nexus, Palo Alto, and FortiGate
• Datacenter architecture and design experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelors or masters in related field and/or related certifications (CCNP, CCIE, etc).
• 7+ years as a network engineer, 5+ being datacenter focused.
• Knowledge or experience with cloud networking and/or network automation.
